SAN FRANCISCO (SEPTEMBER 2009) – Internationally renowned accessories brand Kipling® is proud to announce The Kipling® Color Jam Pop-Up Store, opening exclusively in San Francisco on Friday, October 2. The Kipling Color Jam Pop-Up will remain open until January 31, bringing limited-edition Kipling® product and a celebration of local art students to the San Francisco area.

From red to blue, purple, pink, yellow and beyond, Kipling products are made in many different color variations. The Kipling® Color Jam Pop-Up will reinforce the Kipling® brand’s belief in color, fun, and functional product, while supporting local artists who use color in a beautiful way.

In partnership with the San Francisco Art Institute, the Kipling® Color Jam Pop-Up will operate as a painter’s studio featuring colorful canvas paintings by local student talent. During select weekends, featured artists will work in-store to create new pieces of art while engaging customers and answering questions about their work.

“Our commitment to colorful, stylish product will be prominent throughout The Kipling® Color Jam Pop-Up Store,” declares Julie Dimperio, President of Kipling North America. “We are thrilled to offer our retail space as a platform for local art students, and we are excited to see them in action!”

To generate local excitement, Kipling® will launch a “Color Crawl” treasure hunt throughout San Francisco, strategically placing 100 Kipling® gifts at secret locations city-wide. Clues about each location will be posted on the Kipling USA Facebook page.

During the grand opening weekend October 10 -11, customers will be invited to spin the Kipling® Color Jam Wheel and win exclusive prizes.
